The auction winner can pick which patch they want from the 2 shown: obsolete style Memphis Police, Tennessee patch in department issued folder - 3" x 3 9/16" embroidered cloth patch in a 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" folder. The cover shows the old marking scheme on a MPD car, as well as names of a former Mayor and a former Police Director. This patch was used prior to the current design, which has no flesh-colored hand holding the scales of justice. This older patch also has "Dept." on it, and the solid rays around the center seal are much bolder than the thinner rays on the current style patch. This older patch has more detail on the eagle, and its overall shape is quite different from the current patch. The folder shows the old Pyramid Arena, which was replaced by the Federal Express Forum.
