Includes power light. This was part of a four-piece colourful, playfully postmodern set of appliances made as a collaboration between Philips and Alessi, which included a juicer, toaster, and kettle. The coffee maker was designed by Alessi’s Alessandro Mendini. The base unit contains a removable water tank in clear polycarbonate plastic. The carafe contains the filter holder (for truncated cone filters), which sits in a removable cap above the carafe container. When docked to the base, the carafe can keep the coffee warm. Unit was purchased new and used for a few years, and displays light surface scratches and some coffee staining / hard water deposits which could be cleaned if desired (do not use abrasive cleaners) - I will leVe that to the buyer. Water tank top has a crack as pictured - this could be superglued to prevent leakage if desired by buyer, but it can still be used as-is if filled up to the line below it.
