Description: Hi! You're looking at an excellent condition Vinyl LP Set which is a wonderful collection of songs performed by PHIL HARRIS and His Orchestra titled "That's What I Like About the South"--the album, in addition to the great title tune, also includes "The Dark Town Poker Club," "The Preacher and the Bear" (both made famous by legendary comic Bert Williams), "Woodman, Spare That Tree," "Is It True What They Say About Dixie," "Goofus," "The Thing," "Row, Row, Row," and others. The LP is a RCA Camden records reissue of the original recordings (mostly from the 1930s and 1940s) in the original MONO, has 1S / 1S pressing stampers denoting a FIRST PRESSING with the serial number CAL-456 and was made in the United States in 1958. This LP is in excellent overall condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- (Ex) condition and should play beautifully, with a couple of moderate paper scuffs, some light paper scuffs, and some tiny pressing bubbles that should not significantly affect play except for possibly a few isolated tics in a couple of spots and no other significant flaws; the cover is in VG+ condition with beautiful surfaces, slight discoloration and wrinkling on the lower left edge of the front cover and lower right edge of the back cover, a 3 inch clean split on the center of the spine edge and upper edge, a slight 1 inch split on the lower center edge, slight 1/3 splits on the opening tips, a small ding on the lower spine edge and just very light shelfwear otherwise but no other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout! Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded) Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes). A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this vinyl LP! Thanks very much for looking, and good luck if you're bidding!
