Description: This most notable pewter tankard came into my possession when we lived south of Boston, during our country’s Bicentennial celebration, when the Tall Ships came to port at Boston Harbor as part of Operation Tall Ships in 1976. It was manufactured by Eales of Sheffield in England to commemorate the Tall Ships voyage during the Bicentennial. It has seen better days, but with some knowledgeable TLC, it should come back to its original glory. Sadly. I need to liquidate my collection, as I have no heirs to which I can pass it down.
