Description: I got this from the daughter of a newspaper man who received this and another book (also listed) from the owner of the San Jose Mercury News, Joe Ridder, when he retired. See the pictures for the inscription. If you are from the San Jose area, Ridder was a big part of the area's 70's, 80's and 90's history. Ridder shaped South Bay political discourse through his news organization and drove all sorts of high tech and real estate news markets. When I bought the books, the lady said her dad knew ridder pretty well, and had worked at the newspaper for decades. These books were only given as gifts to the people Ridder knew, so, although the books themselves don't stand out, the inscription and source of the gift, does.
