Date: 1984 Description: Features the rarely seen gold "demo label" that was first considered prior to the official release of the 33.3rpm vinyl LP album. Approx. one dozen of these gold label albums were produced and very few of these vinyl albums still remain. The label has the same coloring as was used for the "Promised Land" 45rpm single that was released for radio play prior to the release of the "Country Album." However, by the time the full album was released, Annette chose to use a blue/silver label for the album's official release. This remarkable find was recovered from the fire that destroyed Annette's home in 2011. While the home was a total loss, a few unique items did survive the blaze. As maintained in Annette's personal possession since the album's full release in 1984. While this album may not have had the backing of a major label, the musicians who supported Annette on this project are nothing less than a "who's who" of Nashville's finest. As Annette's disease progressed, she and Glen had redoubled their efforts to fund the critical research that is needed to fight all neurological diseases, including multiple sclerosis, the disease that Annette had so valiantly fought for more than two decades. Perhaps Glen said it best: "I want to touch their hearts so they will go out there and help us raise some money. I am going to fulfill her wish to help find a cause and a cure." Glen faithfully cared for Annette until her passing on April 8, 2013. After Glen's passing on February 12, 2018, the Research Fund's Board of Directors stepped forward to carry on the work begun by Annette and Glen nearly three decades ago.
