Description: Pedro y Pablo is a duo of folk rock and Argentine protest song composed of Miguel Cantilo and Jorge Durietz, created in 1968 and considered to be one of the pioneers of Argentine rock.The duo's history dates back to 1967, when Miguel Cantilo and Jorge Durietz formed a rock group called "Los Cronopios"; the following year they changed their name to Pedro y Pablo, a duet that became known thanks to its combination of acoustic rock with scathing poetry, and eventually lyrics of clear social denunciation, and that would become one of the most important in Argentina in his type, known for being the creators of songs such as «Yo vivo en esta ciudad», «Catalina Bahia», «La marcha de la bronca», «¿Donde va la gente cuando llueve?», «Apremios ilegales», «Padre Francisco» o «Que sea al sol», among others.Miguel Cantilo and Jorge Durietz performed covers of The Beatles at parties as a vocal trio (along with Guillermo Cerviño).
