Description: Wasatch Penstemon is an attractive plant native to the western Rocky Mountains in UT, WY, and ID as well as a few other surrounding states. It grows in dry steppe and montane habitats in well-drained soil. This plant is loved by native pollinators especially in the west. Its gorgeous blue-purple flowers that contrast with bright green stems can add enormous impact to a garden. Both aesthetically and ecologically, a penstemon like this does best in drier sites such as rock gardens or xeriscapes. Seeds require cold stratification in order to germinate, but will germinate with ease in the spring if sown in the proper location in fall or winter. Will also reseed if allowed to set seed. Flowers in second year of growth. 50 seeds per packet. USDA COLD HARDINESS ZONE 4 Wasatch Penstemon (Penstemon cyananthus) Plantaginaceae - *I offer combined $4.00 shipping for multiple items. Each additional seed packet ships free on top of the flat rate. - I cannot guarantee the success of any plants as growing conditions vary for each grower.
