Originally, back in 1970 , Paul wanted no singles released from his "McCartney" LP, despite a ton of requests from radio stations and record stores to release "Maybe I'm Amazed". In 1979 Paul signed with Columbia Records and reissued many songs from his Apple/Capitol catalogue on the Columbia label. In 1985 he went back to Capitol and Columbia lost the rights to Paul's music.
