The dual cure cushion gum coating on the stem, along with the combination of compression and chemical vulcanization, will form a permanent bond to the tire. Cover the repair with an appropriate patch repair unit. Always use a separate Plug Stem and Tire Repair Patch. Plug Stems are for use in the crown area on passenger, light truck, and truck tires. The purpose of a Plug Stem is to fill the injury and prevent moisture and debris from entering the tire.
