Description: Here's a very early 1st Quarter 1937 double jeweled PARKER STANDARD VACUMATIC FILLER IN SILVER PEARL. This pen still has the locking vacumatic filler which was changed to the SPEEDLINE filler later in the year. The pen is 5-1/16" long and in great condition with the exception of needing a new diaphragm for the filler before it will take up ink. Silver pearl has good color and no noted defects. The 2 line barrel imprint is in good shape and has the 17 date mark. Nickel plated trim is generally excellent, but yielding a little of the shine on the triple cap rings. Jewels are lined and in good condition. Locking filler locks smoothly with no sign of slot wear, but still will need that new diaphragm. The nib is an extra fine 14k arrow nib, firm and with good iridium and very smooth. The pen is a mono color nib....I don't know when the switch was made from the two toned nib, but this and tiny "0" at the base of the nib makes me wonder about the possibility of the nib being a replacement. A very nice nib in either case. Prior to bidding, please read below the information on payment, return policy and on international shipping.
