Description: Here's a PARKER BLUE DIAMOND STANDARD VACUMATIC pen in SILVER PEARL. The date mark is for the second quarter 1945. Trim is nickel plated and includes the chevron cap band. This is a well used pen and on that cap band there is some there is some minor brassing to the nickel along the lower edge of the band and wear to the chevron design. The rest of the trim is excellent and there is nearly full blue in the clip's blue diamond. Clip is marked PARKER. The plastic, including the section and feed have no visible flaws. The black vacuum filler rod moves easily and the pen still takes up ink, though probably not as efficiently and it would with a new diaphragm. The pen is 5-1/8" long with a .46" barrel diameter. The 14K arrow nib appears to be a fine, straight point with plenty of tip material and is a relatively firm writer. Very nice pen.
