Description: Parasound Halo C1 Controller Preamplifier Processor Balanced 7.1 Channel -READ- as pictured. This was Parasound's top-of-the-line Halo Series Processor before HDMI came around. The unit sounds great and would make a great 5.1, 2.1 or stereo preamplifier with a high-quality onboard DAC. The S-Video and Component Video input and output are untested but could easily be bypassed if not functioning. Please read below for more details. Tested by this AV-specialist seller and working great with some caveats. This would make a great unit for the right buyer. The composite video for video and the OSD(on-screen-display) work. The S-Video and Component Video are untested. The analog and digital inputs are working. Both remotes and the units face controls are functioning. The unit sounds great through all analog outputs but the "Back" channels output static. So, the unit would work great as a 5.1, 2.1 or 2 channel preamplifier but not a 7.1 unit unless it was repaired. The unit's screen has some slight discoloration(common on these units) and the composite output OSD has some light flickering but both are easily usable to set the unit up. The main remote has heavy use but all buttons work. The auxiliary remote looks as though it has lived in storage its entire life. Sold as-is for parts or repair. Cosmetically the preamplifier is excellent with light signs of use but includes a bit of writing on the back.
