Description: Pansy Necklace Enamel Gold Iridescent Cream Maroon Mish Toworkowski Vtg 80’’s Stunning gold plated enamel pansy necklace with floral toggle clasp. Pansy petals are enameled with cream enamel containing extremely fine gained gold flecks, which catch the light, creating an iridescent gold sheen. It is excellent vintage condition. With no apparent wear or defects. It is unmarked and unsigned estate piece, which we believe is an early 1980’s work of Mish Toworkowski, (“Mish”), see below. It measures approximately 17” in length. See photos with ruler for more measurements, full description and condition. It is even lovelier in person, photos don’t capture the lovely sheen. We show this necklace with a pair of matching earrings, found in another estate, (sold separately in our other listings). Based on our research, we believe the necklace is attributable Mish, and is an early 1980’s unsigned work. Mish designed high quality costume jewelry before he opened Mish Fine Jewelry NewYork in 1986. His jewelry is / was influenced by the 15 years he spent studying vintage jewelry working for Sotherby’s Auction House. As well as his love of beautiful flowers, nature, and exotic items he observed during his world travels. His works often have a touch of whimsy. Unfortunately many of his early costumes jewelry pieces are unsigned. His later 80’s costume jewelry was signed “Mish”. His early costume works are coveted by collectors and are difficult to find.
