Pair Vintage Chinoiserie Hand Painted Porcelain Ginger Jar Lamps

Gorgeous pair of heavy hand painted porcelain chinoiserie lamps in ginger jar shape. There is no brand I can find on them but I suspect they are late 1960’s to late 70’s Chinese export sold by Neiman Marcus. The lamp body and base on each is in excellent condition. Atop each lamp is a metal brass cap or plate. Each plate has what looks to be an old drip mark of some sort. Difficult to imagine the cause but it is also difficult to see unless the shade is completely off of the lamps. It is not a stain or rust and to the fingers flowing over it feels as if it has always been there. The shades are of a higher quality silk. Thicker slightly raw off white silk outside, thin very white layer inside. The wire used in construction is thick thus stronger. Each shade has one spot I found and photographed with a zoom up close. It took a while to see them while holding in my hands, inspecting closely. Considering how difficult it was to see it at all I would not even consider changing the all original shades for many many more years. I have also included photos of finials which may not have been original. Both have problems and need to be replaced. There are so many new or vintage available on this site it will be easy to pick out a pair to your liking. The metal harps are fine and included. So no finials and no bulbs shipped with this pair. These will ship in two boxes. One with lamps and one with shades.
