Description: Pair of Antique Art Deco French c1920 Deer by Charles Lemanceau at St Clement Condition: Overall the condition is very good. One has a historic repair to tail and a crack to the bottom corner area.Both have small fleabite losses to the extremities & corner ledges in places which are shown for examination in images. See images provided for these condition details. No other chips cracks or restoration.There is an intentional attractive craquelure design all over the glaze.Charles Lemanceau was born in 1905 in Paris. In 1923, he worked for Primavera. In 1925, he exhibited in the Salon d'Automne with his fellows Eugene Printz, Louis Sognot, Van Dongen, Vlaminck, Raoul Dufy, Jean Dunand, Henri Matisse, Le Corbusier, Jules Leleu, Robert Mallet-Stevens, Fernand Leger and Maurice Utrillo. In this period, he worked for Saint-Clement and DIM. From 1930, he worked for Maurice Dufrene, Primavera and Sainte-Radegonde.
