Description: Estate Find Pair Nineteenth Century Trophy Drinking Horns We offer a pair of antique trophy drinking horns, probably from France or Germany, mounted with brass fittings featuring Gothic motifs. A coronet band trims the opened end of the drinking horn. An acorn finial terminates the tip of the horn. The horns are supported by winged dragons. An old ruby glass votive is inserted into the open mouth of each horn. The overall height of the trophies are 15” and 16 1/2”. The trophies span 11 1/2” by 5 3/4” and 10 1/4” by 5 5/8”. The bases are 4 1/8” by 4 5/8”. The base height to the dragon’s mouth is 8 5/8”. In very good condition, free of cracks and repairs.
