Description: Vintage hollow pressed clear glass horse head bookends. I have searched online and some say these are Art Deco while others say Mid Century. They do have glass bubbles and a mold seam you can feel (see pics) which was common with early pressed glass. Some people are saying they are made by Federal Glass Co.; which opened in 1900 making pressed glass. So these could be as old as 1920 to 1939 (Art Deco Era) or they were also popular in the 50's and 60's and were "Art Deco Style". They are heavy and one does have a chip at the base. It is hard to find them in pairs and many unfortunately did get chipped. It isn't noticeable if you turn them sideways. The glass is starting to yellow (also indication they might be older than 1950). I looked in all my books about glass and couldn't find anything, I wish I knew more, sorry. Measures approx. 5" L X 5 1/4" H X 3 3/4" W Each weighs 1.5 lbs. Please check out my other items, always happy to combine shipping. Non-smoking home.
