Description: Pair of antique 19th century .875 silver Judaic Sabbath candlesticks, ornate grapes motif with delicate stippled leaves, measuring 13-1/2" tall, the bases measures 5-3/4" square, they are hallmarked 84 with a chalice symbol and cyrillic letters translating to the Latin PT, this is the compound import mark which was stamped by a Russian assayer when an import was brought through customs, 84 means .875 silver, the two letters mean "imported goods", this mark was used between 1882-1898, see close up photos, the pair measures 27.7 troy ounces, good antique condition, a few minor dings, previously owned, from a local estate.
