Description: These 2 porcelain plates measures approximately 8" in diameter. They have a purple transfer printed design of a bird perched on a branch with flowers. The plates have also been painted in many vibrant colors. There are no makers marks. I found this pattern on the replacements website attributed to Sampson Bridgwood & Son. The company officially began operating in Longton about 1820.One plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, just light surface wear, and a few production flaws, like flecks or bumps in the glaze. The other plate has a chip on the foot and several tiny chips on the rim. There are pictures of these in the last two photos. I believe these date to the mid 1800's. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking! I package fragile items securely and with care.
