Description: This is a very nice mens high end made to measure custom Oxxford Clothes blazer in a size 40S. This was custom made for the original owner through Frost Bros. It states this on the label. Please verify all measurements before bidding please as this is a custom ordered blazer. This is made of a great looking 100% pure silk in a raw silk weave done in shades of tan, beige, and ecru ivory. This has the inconsistencies seen in raw silk that make it unique looking. It is a great blazer….. please see the up close pictures for the details of the material and its great pattern. This is a single breasted 2 button front jacket closure. This blazer has 4 buttons on the sleeves. It has has a single vented rear and it is partially lined with 3 interior pockets. The measurements are as follows: CHEST = 43 1/2 inches around the outside of the coat measured just under the armpits. We take measurements by measuring the circumference of the jacket as if it was being worn around the outside of the coat. We do NOT measure laying flat. SLEEVES = 30 1/2 inches from the center of the back neckline to the end of the cuffs, 21 1/2 inches from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuffs. TAIL = 29 inches from the BOTTOM of the collar to the end of the waistline hem in the rear. SHOULDERS = 17 inches wide from shoulder seam to shoulder seam WAISTLINE = 42 inches around the midsection of the coat at the bottom button which is about 9 inches up from the bottom hem line. We take measurements by measuring the circumference of the jacket as if it was being worn around the outside of the coat. We do NOT measure laying flat. This is a great high end blazer by Oxxford Clothes is perfect for any man’s wardrobe needs. While the exact age is not known, this definitely is a classic coat, especially based on the cut and the labels inside the interior. Oxxford Clothes has been a staple in American men’s formalwear tailoring since 1916. The Chicago-based company has been known to make some of the finest, hand tailored suits and sport coats right here in the United States for presidents and other exclusive figures. This pure raw silk blazer is in very nice condition overall, but not perfect since it has been worn. It wasn’t worn much and it shows that it was well taken care of by the original owner for its age. The raw silk material does have inconsistencies, and there are a couple of areas that look different because of it being woven silk. But there are no noticeable flaws or damage to the exterior overall, and it is in very good condition. The interior lining does have some simple staining due to age that may come out with a good dry cleaning, but this does not effect wear and is never seen. We have attempted to show this in the last photograph with the areas circled in red. This is very faint, a yellowing discoloration. We do see some interior lining threads that are loose. This is never seen when wearing and does not affect usage. This blazer overall is in very nice condition and has plenty of life left in it. It is from Frost Bros. & the label does state this inside on the lining. Again, we would consider this a vintage style blazer, but great classic men’s hand tailored luxury fashion never goes out of style. What’s great to love about any Oxxford Clothes item is that it is made well, and is definitely an heirloom article that can be worn for many decades. And this one is no exception!
