The body of Our Lady is thin, her face elongated. She holds an orb of the earth in her right hand. The Child's hand is raised in a formalized and traditional Eastern blessing. Both Lady and Child are black, making Monserrat one of the BlackMadonnas of Europe. It measures just under 1 inch tall and 0.75 inch wide. The pin is in excellent condition.
