The covers have light wear for the age of this book, with a few light stains present (primarily on the front cover). Image printed on the cover has some wear. Spine has more wear, with much loss of the printed image of the sheep. Gilding on cover and spine is still sharp. Covers do have some wear on the edges and corners. The pages inside are in great shape. I only noticed a little foxing on a couple pages. There are over a dozen illustrations (most are photographs).
