Description: The Gallipoli Star is an Ottoman Empire Medal known in Germany and Austria as the Iron Crescent which was authorized by Sultan Mehmed V on March 1, 1915 and consists of one class. It was awarded to members of the Ottoman Empire and its allies. The Turkish order was of poor quality. This Iron Crescent was made by the 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 Jeweler 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 and is in amazing condition. The Order received the Honorary Title of the Gallipoli Star to commemorate the battle of Gallipoli in 1915 where British and Australian Troops landed on the Gallipoli Straits to conquer Constantinople and force the Ottoman Empire out of the war.
