This diode in comparison to the M140 diode offers a better beam divergence and gets pretty close in power about 300mW on average less efficient based on the results of the diodes I have tested. Tested 5 of these so far and they all seem to average about 2W @ 1.8A with a G-2 where the M140 averages around 2.3W @ 1.8A. There is one drawback there is more dye reflection/splash than the M140 with a single element lens. Also this diode has three bond wires compared to the four bond wires found on the M140.This is the second revision of this diode and like it's 1.4W predecessor and as noted above it still only has three bond wires but this version has added an esd protection circuit.
