Description: INTEMPERANCE AND TIGHT LACING:Considered in Relationto the Laws of Life by O. S. Fowler twenty-fourth edition printed in 1848 by Fowlers and Wells This is a very scarce booklet, which is concerned withsuch topics as mental health, sexuality, phrenology, alcohol, women's behavior, and the use of corsets. Orson Squire Fowler (1809-1887) was an American phrenologist and lecturer. This is a sewn paper booklet, about 9" by 6", in three sections (32 pages, 16 pages, & 10 pages). There is also a front cover, which is mostly detached. The back cover (if there ever was one) is missing. The booklet is in fair condition, with creases, foxing, tears, and other defects. But it does exist! This is a very rare item; I think that most existing copies areof later editions, and are held in libraries. Shipping is FREE via USPS First Class Mail.
