Description: ORNITHOGALUM NAMAQUANULUM is a South African endemic from the Northern Cape. It does withstand the "cold" and rain of southern California winters quite nicely. I grow them in full sun in the ground all year round, and also lightly shaded. It is on the Red List of South African Plants. It will increase by bulb division and also by seeds. Look closely at the bulbs and you will see the pregnant bulb offsets, just like its larger cousin, O.caudatum. These bulbs are flowering size, but may not flower until next summer. My plants are in full leaf year round when kept moist. The bulbs look best grown on the soil surface, and surrounded by a staging of nice rocks. You can grow them like a cactus. NOW SELLING TWO (2) adult bulbs of this uncommon flowering bulb for $10.Shipping is $9 I DO NOT USE PESTICIDES IN MY YARD. My plants are not small seedlings, but mostly variable sized adults of different weights and sizes, so shipping is quite variable. I ALWAYS add free plants to make up for any excess shipping charges. TO GET COMBINED SHIPPING, PLEASE ORDER AND PAY FOR ALL PLANTS. ONCE I PACKAGE THEM FOR SHIPMENT, I WILL AUTOMATICALLY REFUND EXCESS POSTAGE ON EBAY. Remember that Paypal, EBay, and shipping supply companies take a bite of the charges.
