It gives the impression of a well-preserved medieval monument, but its current form comes from a romantic reconstruction from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is among the most visited monuments in the Czech Republic and is a popular location for filmmakers.The castle was founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries.In 2004, the German film Napola was filmed at the castle (Wiki).
