From the beginning of the seventies until the fall of communism, his results were falsified for political reasons.The survey was renewed in the Czech Republic in 1996 under the name Cesky Slavik and in Slovakia in 1998 under the name Slavik.In the Zlaty Slavik and later Cesky Slavik polls, the famous singer Karel Gott received the most awards, a total of 42 awards (Wiki).
