Description: Thank you for looking- READY TO SHIP Black Bear Cub Chainsaw Wood Carving Height - 20 1/2" Species- White Pine We will have only a very limited supply of carvings this season since we are still in the process of recovering from a major flood that hit our area last December. This ended up causing major damage to our home and work studio. Our normal schedule will resume this coming spring/summer. Available is this original hand carved wood carving carved from a reclaimed piece of seasoned dry pine and protected with a top grade spar varnish. We use the chainsaw to sculpt each piece, then finish with various sanders, and sometimes paint to add just the right touch. You will usually see a relief cut on the backside of most of our carvings, and this is to eliminate future cracking in an undesirable place. It is very important to us to give you a quality piece, and we make sure to do that by allowing each carving created to dry properly and become stable before you get it.
