Description: This a 1881 British Admiralty chart showing the approaches to the Yangtze River in the area of Shanghai. Small corrections were made up to and including 1915. The chart shows the waters from Shanghai to the China Sea. Shanghai itself is along the left boarder locating some of the city's street and buildings. There are some hand written notations in pencil concerning the river pilots and where to anchor while waiting for them. The chart has one center fold, as issued, and is in very fine condition. The sheet measures 28" x 40". It will be shipped rolled in a tube.
