Description: OPUNTIA QUIMILO!! You will receive 1 cactus pad. It may ship with spines that are long. This is an easy cactus variety. It's difficult to underwater or overwater this plant! Soil type is also fairly irrelevant! Great for beginners!! These do not come with a pot - they are shipped bare and unrooted. No warranty is provided beyond delivery of the healthy plant. The Opuntia Quimilo was named in 1898. Found in Bolivia and Argentina, it's known for its long, eccentric spines that can reach nine inches in length in extreme cases! It's mostly green but has hints of purple when it's younger, and some say it has a cartoon-like appearance. The standard variety produces an edible fruit, although I have yet to see any develop in South Texas. This cactus has very few if any glochids. This cactus is hardy. Although probably not as hardy as Texas Prickly Pear Cactus, it's still a low-maintenance plant. For anyone doing any xeriscaping, this is an essential plant, and depending on your tastes, possibly a centerpiece plant. You will receive 1 cactus pad. It may ship with spines that will hurt, and are dangerous. This is an easy cactus variety. It's difficult to underwater or overwater this plant! Soil type is also fairly irrelevant!
