The arm is equipped with a, realistic counterweight and base. Just press the switch (included) to lower or raise the gate. It can also be operated using any trackside activator (sold separately). The Operating Crossing Gate mounts through the table, with no wires visible on your layout surface. It needs an approximately 5/8" hole for mounting and operates on AC or DC power between 8 and 12 volts.
