Enjoy sight-reading at the piano! Your Complimentary Evaluation. An initial complimentary evaluation of 20 minutes will be offered prior to scheduled lesson upon paying for the lessons. During this evaluation, the professor will learn of your experience, evaluate your level, and prepare the package. The professor will explain how the lesson will proceed and will offer clear goals for you. As well, a scheduled based on your availability and the schedule of the professor will be established. If you may receive a full refund after the evaluation if you are not satisfied with the goals of the lesson. The Lesson. The professor will provide or assign the necessary materials for beginners and will offer instructions for you to teach yourself how to sigh-read and how to begin to teach yourself how piano. The professor will discuss how to practice and for how long. The lesson will be offered via FaceTime, Whats App, or Skype. What You Will Need for the Lesson. You will need to have access to a keyboard of at least four octaves. The keyboard can be a piano, organ, or electric keyboard. You will need to the ability to set your smart device near the keyboard for visual access for the professor. This can be as simple as placing your smart phone at the end of either end of the keyboard. Most importantly, you will need some time to practice in between lessons. Scheduling Lessons. Upon scheduling lesson times if a scheduling conflict occurs, you may reschedule the lesson up to twenty-four hours before the scheduled time. If there is an emergency on the day of the lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled within the eight-week period. Forgotten appointments or 'no shows' will count as a lesson. About the Professor. This piano professor is a concert pianist, a composer and is a Steinway Artist with a doctorate in piano performance from one of the major American institutions of music and currently teaches at an internationally recognized American university. Upon agreement for lessons, you will have the opportunity to read about the pianist, listen to recordings of performances, and view various performances online.
