Dragonfly Dream Catcher Stained Glass Copper Foil One-of-a-Kind Antique Glass

Description: One-of-a-Kind Copper Foil Stained Glass Art "Dragonfly Through Dream Catcher" Description: One-of-a-Kind Copper Foil Stained Glass Art "Dragonfly Through Dream Catcher"This is a one-of-a-kind, original stained glass piece using the copper foil technique that was designed and made by myself.I have had stained glass as a hobby for 50+ years since I discovered 2 suitcases in my parents' attic containing stained glass belonging to my two great aunts who were art teachers about 100 years ago. In all of my pieces I like to use some of this old glass. In this piece, it is the glass in the wings. You can see air bubbles in this glass because the old glass was blown glass. Modern glass imitates this.On one of the feathers, I have etched my signature. It looks like a broken triangle, but really is "Lu," short for Lucy.It is hung with a piece of old rawhide, but I will include a 1" section of black chain that can be attached with pliers.It measures 6" round by 10-7/8" long. It is actually quite rugged, but is breakable.The glass in the circle is transparent amber. The body of the dragonfly is cobalt blue as are the "jewels" on the feathers.The feather colors range from cream to amber to orange and the glass is "feathery looking." The feathers articulate on copper wires.The wings are delicate streaks of purple and blue, with the air bubbles, and looking somewhat like dragonfly wing texture. The colors are nicely balanced.
