Description: Here is a very unique, one of a kind 10 string banjo that appears to be home made. Brand name on the headstock and metal bridge is "Unaka". There are a couple of patent number (same number) markings; one on the edge of the fingerboard and the other back. The fingerboard is elevated as you can see in the photos. One of the 5th string tuning buttons is loose and won't hold the tune; the other seems to be okay. The tone ring looks like it's made of copper. 10" calfskin head with no rips or tears. The first, second, and fifth strings are in unison; the third and fourth are in octaves - think 12 string guitar. It seems to play okay for what it is. The nut is a modified fret. The tuning lugs are bolt couplers that look like they're from Home Depot. Overall length from tip to toe is 39". $68.00 shipping to any USA address.
