The books have brown boards, with gold inlay on the spines, and the top edges of the pages being gilted, and the other edges rough cut. The edges of the boards are beveled. There is chipping to the boards, particularly on the spines (see image). The cloth at the top of the spine on Volume II is a bit worn (see image). *No slipcase*.
