Description: This is a fix-up project for a luthier with some experience. I’ll be as descriptive as I can, and you’ll need to study the photos for any other details. First of all, the label appears to be printed electronically, but distressed to look old. I have no way of knowing its actual origin or how that label got there. The instrument is very lightweight and could be a good player once it’s put back together. Looking at the end button, it is stuck tightly, perhaps glued in place. It appears to be scraped or sanded and lightly re-varnished. It does come with a tailpiece with an opal inset, four pegs, various bridge fragments, and comes shipped in an old case (not the one in the photo). Some re-gluing may need to be done at the neck area on the ribs. Sound post is in place as of this posting. Back measures 358.5mm. Also, this is my third time trying to sell this violin. Please do not bid if you do not have the funds to pay or cannot figure out international payment.
