Description: Here is a wonderful old Tenkara "Edo Wazao" style (?) Bamboo Fishing Rod, it was hand made in Japan, it has 8 Sections and measures about 12 Feet Long. All sections are signed with four angled marks and one flat mark. The thinnest end piece is signed but very difficult to see. There are some small cracks at joint of one section, as seen in photos. I assembled the unit to measure it before I noticed the damage, it all assembled easily and seemed to be quite solid. I measured the rod at 13’6”, but I did not force the joints all the way shut, so the true length might be shorter, closer to 11'6" to 12 feet. The longer individual sections measure just under 24” each. I am NOT an expert in these items, all my research for this auction was done on eBay and other websites. If you have any questions about this auction or if you want to see additional photos, just ask! Thank you. PS: This unit was auction off about a month ago, but the bidder never paid, so I resisted it.
