Description: A really nice old Sheffield silver on copper lidded master salt cellar with a cobalt blue glass liner. It has a classic "shell and gadroon" design and has a small spoon slot in the hinged lid. It is unmarked except for the number "29" on the underside of the lid and the bottom of the base rim. The base is approx. 3-7/8" by 3-1/8". It is approx. 3-1/4" tall, including the lid knob. The condition is very good and clean. The glass has no chips or cracks. The lid opens smoothly and seats well. The copper is showing through in spots on the lid. There is a bit of corrosion to the plate under the glass that is not visible with the glass in place.
