Description: his is a rare find. It is a ornate High Victorian/Rococo Revival champagne bucket made circa 1840. It was made in Sheffield, England UK and has a Bell Mark stamp on the bottom for W & G Sessions The body is made of silver sheets annealed to a copper body there is a inner liner that is presumed to be zinc. This piece is an impressive showstopper and very well decorated It is a must for any serious collector of Old Sheffield silver plate. The piece measures 11 1/2 inches tall, 12 inches wide (from handle to handle. The liner measures 5 inches in diameter and 4 3/4 inches deep.One of the handles has been detached but has been repaired. There is also a small piece of festoon missing from handle area. We've been advised not to pick it up by the handles. Please contact us is you have any questions.
