Description: Up for bid is a New York fiddle thread pattern coin silver sugar spoon, marked Lowell & Senter, as is. The spoon is 6 inches long and weighs 23 grams. The pattern is double die-struck, with flared shoulders and a threaded drop on the back of the bowl. The spoon is monogrammed “EFS” on the handle back. It is marked “COIN” and “LOWELL & SENTER” on the handle back. Condition on the spoon is poor. There is a crudely repaired crack along one rib in the bowl tip and another short crack on the bowl side. There is normal wear of use. Still a decent piece of coin silver.
