Description: OFFICIAL LEGO SCULPTURE – ROCKET RACERS DISPLAY VEHICLE SONY PLAYSTATION GAME This is a one-of-one, EXTREMELY RARE official Lego Sculpture that LEGO commissioned for their trade show display for the Sony Playstation/Nintendo video game, Lego Racers. This video game came out in 1999/2000 and was Lego’s official display vehicle. It was for the character “Rocket Racer” in the game. It is a LEGO Company original and comes with the original crate built and marked by Lego. The crate is about 7.5ft long, 4.5ft wide, and 4ft tall. This crate is marked with the LEGO logo and contact information from the department and person in charge from Lego pertaining to this project. I have documentation from 2017 from LEGO stating that they did, in fact, build this vehicle and that it did come from LEGO. I also have a quote from a renowned Lego sculpture builder with an estimated charge to remake this piece of Lego art at $80,000, which I can provide as needed also. With it being an official Lego product, this would add to the value even more. The Lego Driver and steering wheel come out of the vehicle. The nose cone comes off for packing into the crate. There also is a 4 part clear plexiglass windscreen that comes with the vehicle. I have not set that up yet, but it is in multiple pcs and would need to be put together; it probably also would need to be polished. Overall the vehicle is in great shape and has sat in its' crate for many years. This vehicle is about 9ft long, 4.5ft wide, and about 2ft tall. I have a photo of a person next to the car to reference how large this vehicle is. I am selling this as I do not have the suitable space to enjoy and display it correctly. It will make a better home somewhere else. Either a great addition to an over-the-top playroom or part of a business display or museum. This has brought joy to everyone that has seen it and puts a smile on everyone’s face. Hopefully, it will find a new home that many can thoroughly enjoy for years. I do not have all the information about the vehicle, but I can try to answer as many questions as possible regarding it. I do not know how many individual Legos went into this build. We have talked to professional Lego experts, who believe the car is built from about 50,000 to 75,000 individual Lego pcs. The Lego sculpture team at Lego USA said that typically official LEGO models released to the public are very small and would fit on a tabletop, but it is next to impossible for a piece this large to make it into public hands. They said they do not know how something like this slipped and is a very rare find in public hands.
