Description: This is a pair of original GM cylinder heads for a Big Block Chevy Engine. The casting number on each head is 3919840. These heads are the high performance versions with rectangular intake ports and closed combustion chambers. The 3919840 head was used by GM on 1968-1969 L78 396/375HP, L72 427/425HP(Yenko/COPO, and L71 427/435HP engines. The 3919840 head was also used as a replacement for casting numbers 3856208, 3873858, 3904391, and 3964291. What a rare find! These heads are in very good condition as shown. They have been professionally rebuilt and have not been used or bolted on an engine since. The rebuild included the installation of hardened exhaust valve seats for use with unleaded gas. This is a very expensive upgrade so it is awesome that it is already done. The heads are complete with valves, springs, retainers, guide plates, and rocker studs as shown. The heads have no porting on the intake or exhaust ports. All threads are in good condition with no thread inserts or helicoils. The valves measure 2.19 inches on the intake and 1.72 on the exhaust.
