Extract from the sagebrush: contains, among other substances, the iridoid aucubin, which has astringent (astringent) and antimicrobial effects. Hypromellose forms a protective film on the surface of the eye. Boric acid and sodium tetraborate: have antifungal and antibacterial effects. Zinc sulphate has an antimicrobial effect. The solution also contains the lipid component LipoZoom: a fraction of purified soy lecithin (phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine). These substances occur naturally in tears and improve the coverage of the eye by the protective film - they prolong the time for which the film is uninterrupted by forming a lipid layer which prevents evaporation and disruption of the continuous layer of tear film. They significantly improve patient comfort in tear disorders. Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid in organisms is a major component of lipid membranes. The source of phosphatidylcholine is mainly soybean, from which it is obtained together with lecithin and is further isolated and purified by chromatographic techniques.
