This is DCC only. The sound works on the B unit and the light works. The dummy A unit shows some rust on the wheels. The B unit has the sound module and needs to be programmed the same time as the powered A unit. These have been converted to 2 rail. The Lionel owner's manual is not included.This set comes with its original box which is in good condition.I recently acquired an extensive and very prominent collection located in South Jersey. Items in the collection include various upgrades (Kadee couplers, metal wheels and quality weathering) to some freight and passenger cars. Some engines have been converted to a 2-rail operation if they came from the factory as 3-rail engines. These conversions were done by qualified hobbyists that are well-versed in doing these conversions.
