Novel from an East German writer when still under communist rule. Dust jacket has small tear-flap on back top edge and a very small edge tear near corner. Edge tear on back bottom edge. Back of jacket has horizontal stripes from some kind of storage situation, evidently. Also has vertical scuff. Wrinkling at spine ends. Small amount of corner chipping. Vertical crease on front flap. Small amount of flare to top edge. Shows unclipped price of $11.95. Cover is quarter-bound with white cloth and gray boards. Front bottom corner slightly bumped. Small bump on back bottom edge. Repeat of horizontal bars seen on jacket. Bookseller notation in top corner of front endpaper. Stamped letters "WHS" in bottom corner. No other markings. Pages are clean and in very good condition. Tight binding.
