Description: Shipping | POLICIES AND INFORMATION NOUVEAU Antique SCHNEIDER ART GLASS Lamp w/ PUEL-DETOT Gilt Bronze Base / FRANCE A stunning table lamp. Art glass shade by CHARLES SCHNEIDER, with an Art Nouveau gold-gilt over cast bronze base by M. Puel-Detot. Shade is etched "SCHNEIDER" and foot of base is marked "M Puel-Detot", as shown. Schneider's life and work are well documented, the same is not true for Mr. Puel-Detot, of whom we know very little except that he was active in the 1920's. Of this artist, we know only seven or eight models of lamp base, all of sculptural form, and all made of gold or silver plated bronze. Shade measures 4 3/8" in diameter, and lamp stands 13 7/8" tall. Displays beautifully, and in excellent condition, with no damage or signs of use. No chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, stains, crazing, or repairs. Electrical cord has been replaced by a previous owner. Lamp is complete and fully functional, with inline on/off thumb switch. GUARANTEED TO BE ANTIQUE circa-1920's, and NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION.
