The author explains that your body DOES need animal fats instead of seed oils, grain products can cause health issues, and especially that you want to avoid processed foods. {I eat a very low-carb lifestyle myself and have had good results with only minor modifications to some recipes. This book was ahead of it's time and probably would be fine as-is for most on a Keto diet, but you can always adjust recipes to fit your needs wherever you are on the diet spectrum.} There's a recipe index in the back that makes it easy to find whatever you want to cook. Note: on the inside of the cover, there is an area where a price tag was removed and there's a small letter and number beside it, it's shown in the photos, and flipping through it I found one recipe corner folded down previously. I wasn't the first owner, but I didn't see anything else unusual for a previously owned cookbook, there may be a small spot or smudge somewhere or minor shelfwear. Just to pick it up and flip through it, you'd probably almost think it was new.
