While almost all of these cards are in Excellent to Near Mint condition, they almost all come from the Junk Wax era and are heavily dominated by what are considered in the industry to be "common cards." That doesn't mean you won't occasionally find the stray Hall of Famer lurking around, but these cards weren't collated for resale value. So why would you even want these? Because Baseball is a beautiful language of its own, one that can be passed from father to son, from husband to wife, from friend to friend, and thumbing through an old stack of baseball cards brings back memories and stories to share. My own father suffered mental decline as he got older, and communication could sometimes be an issue. But whenever he talked about his beloved Reds and some of those memories came flooding back, his communication abilities improved drastically. I started bringing him baseball cards of old Reds players, and it gave us hours of stuff to talk about.
